“Patience my darling…” is what I tell my students when they are ready to move on to the next thing. I find myself needing to take my own advice at this moment of my life.
Zach and I are now on month six of the foster to adoption program and we are READY!! We have all of our paper work complete and have checked off every box that we need except our final home study. We have that Christmas Eve feeling constantly because we know we have the greatest gift(s) waiting for us!
Last week when Zach and I celebrated our one year anniversary, we talked about our favorite parts of year one together. Strangely we both said Covid! How weird, right?! We both agreed that if Covid never happened we would never have gotten all of our paperwork done and our house would have never been ready to take on foster babies. Zach made the comment “Everyone keeps saying 2020 is the worst year we’ve ever had, but what if it’s the best year that’s ever happened to us?” If you know Zach, this is just the way his sweet brain works and that’s why I love him so much! But he’s not wrong at all. 2020 could be OUR year where EVERYTHING happens and we’re so ok with that!
Next week we have our amazing social worker coming out to do our final home study. Then she can push through our license. We cannot wait!

Oh I just love this ❤️So excited to see what’s to come for the two of you!!

Beyond excited for your family and soon-to-be children 💕 I love this journey. Always remember:
“You might be temporary in their lives. They might be temporary in yours. But there is nothing temporary about the LOVE or the lessons.”
